Wings Like Dust Named Finalist for the 2026 National Book Award
Claire Monet’s Wings Like Dust has been named a finalist for the 2026 National Book Award for Fiction, the National Book Foundation announced today.
This marks the second major award recognition for the novel since its publication earlier this year. Judges praised Wings Like Dust for its “luminous prose and profound meditation on the secrets we keep from those closest to us.”
“I’m deeply humbled and grateful,” said Claire. “This book began as a quiet exploration of one man’s unraveling, and to see it recognized in this way means more than I can say.”
The winner will be announced in November 2026 in New York City.
